The micro blogging site Twitter has begun with a new service of advertising. This means that small businesses can place ads in the timeline of Twitter messages, a unique and affordable possibility to get your name across. For the time being only users and holders of an American Express credit card can use the Google-like ad service since you will have to check in with affirming you use one of their credit cards (which is not my case).
The fact that one needs an American Express card to use the ad service is something temporally since Twitter is planning on rolling out the system for everybody later this year. With this Twitter is unveiling a long-awaited automated system that will enable advertisers to manage their marketing campaigns and budgets without having to deal with sales representatives.
